Club ISS is a FREE program developed by the Department of Innovation & Continuous Improvement where ISSNY staff facilitate Shared Interest Groups (SIGs) with ISSNY Program Participants.

Club ISS Shared Interest Groups are structured, topic-driven communities designed to bring people together around meaningful shared interests. Each SIG creates a focused environment where members can connect, exchange ideas, build skills, and collaborate in a way that goes beyond casual networking. Unlike informal groups, SIGs are intentional.

They are organized around clearly defined themes, facilitated discussions, and shared goals. This ensures that participation leads to tangible value, not just conversation.

What Makes SIGs Different?

Purpose-Driven: Every SIG centers on a clearly defined interest or focus area.
Structured Engagement: Meetings, resources, and discussions are guided to maximize relevance and impact.
Peer Learning: Members contribute knowledge, experience, and perspective.
Accountability & Momentum: Ongoing interaction builds continuity and progress over time.

Who are SIGs for? SIGs are for Self-Direction Participants – we welcome DSPs and/or natural supports as well, as long as they are providing direct support to the SIG member during the session.

Shared Interest Groups are ideal for individuals who:

• Want deeper engagement around a specific topic
• Value collaboration and shared learning
• Prefer focused discussion over broad networking
• Are committed to personal or professional growth

The Outcome

• Members leave SIG sessions with:
• Expanded knowledge
• Practical tools or strategies
• Stronger peer connections Increased clarity and direction within their area of interest

How to join?

Club ISS will run in cohorts, or ‘semesters’. ISSNY will post group options here on our website. Interested individuals should email ClubISS@issny.org to request to sign up for a group.

• Please note that the program will begin as a pilot, with a limited number of SIGs – Club ISS staff will employ a waiting list to ensure those who are not able to sign up initially, are prioritized in future cohorts.
