Independent Support Services, Inc. is a fiscal intermediary and is the “employer of record” in the Self-Direction model. We do not directly recruit, interview, hire, train, or supervise Support Staff. Our Participants and their Circles of Support are the “employing manager” and will be the ones who will review your application and resume. If interested, they will contact you to set up an interview.

By submitting your application/resume, you agree to allow Independent Support Services to post it for our Participants and their Circles of Support to review and contact you for an interview, as they are the ones recruiting for staff as part of the Self-Hire process.

We have Participants that utilize our fiscal intermediary services in the following New York State locations:

Long Island (Nassau and Suffolk Counties), New York City, Albany County, Binghamton (Broome County), Orange County, Rochester (Monroe County), Rockland County, Sullivan County, Syracuse (Ononadaga County), and Westchester County

Once you complete the application and submit your resume, you will be contacted by our People Services team to give you additional information about the process. Upon your agreement to our process, your resume will be posted for Participants and their Circles of Support to review. All posted resumes will be removed upon hire or removed after 60 days.
