On Tuesday, 04/08/25, at approximately 8:15 PM, we updated the expense submission processing code. We have been working hard to resolve the expense submission failures that our users have been reporting and we thank you for your patience.

Our expense submission handler can now detect and process the following submissions:

  • Files incorrectly named (JPG files when they were actually PNG files, and vice versa).
  • PSEG invoices (PDF files downloaded directly from PSEG).
  • Microsoft Word generated PDFs.
  • PDFs generated by a number of various printers, scanners, and applications, whether those devices and applications created proper meta-data and PDF formatted files or not.

Unfortunately, PDFs generated by the HP Scan Extended Application will fail to submit.  Please do not continue to use the HP Scan Extended Application and attempt to submit PDFs created with it.  We advise you use another application to create your PDFs or submit JPG or PNG image files.

Our plan is to continue to work on getting PDFs generated by the HP Scan Extended Application to work.  We cannot make any promises and don’t know how long it will take, but we will continue to try.

It is also possible that there are other devices and applications that will fail.  It isn’t possible for us to test them all.  Users have had success by re-saving the document using the Print to PDF option in your application. Please try that and resubmit. If your file continues to fail, please reach out to websupport@issny.org so that we can go over the issue with you and if necessary, request a copy of the files for our testing and future updates to this process.
