The New York Housing Resource Center now offers three essential resources that work together to help you understand your housing options. Together they form Your Guide to Housing, a collection of audio and text-based resources that provide a pathway through many housing-related topics to help you plan for your future.
Resource Highlights:
· Season one of A Housing Journey Podcast is a collection of short episodes that clarify complicated housing topics, including types of housing and creating a housing plan.
· The Housing Resource Guide has been a reliable resource since 2012, giving a detailed look at the topics from season one of A Housing Journey Podcast. This includes information on different housing options, how to pay for housing, and the support available for people with I/DD who want to live on their own.
· The Companion Piece to the Housing Resource Guide connects these resources. It gives summaries of each chapter from the Housing Resource Guide, links to the corresponding episodes of A Housing Journey Podcast season one, and links to publicly available resources for further learning on each topic.
