We are writing to inform you of an upcoming change to the secure email service used by Independent Support Services, Inc. (ISS).
As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance security, reliability, and user experience, ISS is transitioning our outbound email encryption service from Zix to Mimecast Secure Messaging.
What’s changing?
- Effective date: Saturday, February 14
- What this affects: Only emails that require encryption
- What stays the same: You will continue to receive secure, encrypted emails from ISS as you do today
What to expect
If you currently receive encrypted emails from us, the experience will be very similar:
- You will receive an email notifying you that a secure message is available
- Clicking the link will allow you to securely view the message in your web browser
- The first time you access a Mimecast secure message, you will be prompted to create a password
- After setup, you can continue to access secure messages as needed
Why the change?
This transition supports improved security controls, consistency, and long-term reliability while maintaining compliance with applicable privacy and data protection requirements.
